About Us

Our School

We are proud of our school’s heritage, high standards and achievements. With  every passing year and every child we teach Sedley’s School improves the way local  children learn and play, whilst maintaining the values established by Sir John Sedley over 3 centuries ago.

Performance

Information about the current and historic performance of our school, with information about standards, the progress of pupils and the findings of the school’s most recent OFSTED inspection.

Pupil Premium

The pupil premium is an allocation of funding provided to schools to support children who may be vulnerable to under achievement. The amount received is dependent on the number of children who receive free school meals.

Policies

School policies cover every aspect of school life. Below are some of our most important policies for your reference. If you want to know our policy on something that is not listed, please ask the school office..

House Teams

Throughout the school we have divided the children into four teams; Kelly Holmes (Red) , Mick Jagger (Yellow), Mary Tourtel (Blue) and Joseph Lister (Green) with siblings being in the same team. These famous people all have links with Kent. During the day the children will have opportunities to gain team points both in class and at lunchtime and the team who scored the most points will be announced in our Achievement Assembly.

Sedley’s School Council

Sedley’s School Council is made up of a boy and a girl from each year group (years 2-6) voted by the peers in their class. Our School Council Representatives are very enthusiastic and engaged to adopt the responsibility of their School Council role.

The School Council Representatives will meet twice every term and are responsible for voicing the opinions and needs of the children within the school over this academic year, they will also help to decide how any funds raised will be spent and which exciting projects will be organised in the coming year.
