For the main maths task, Year 1 children will continue their work on place value, comparing numbers within 50.  Year 2 children will be looking today at block diagrams.

Times tables

 

As this is the last times table session before the test tomorrow, I thought you might find it fun to make a times table fortune teller. Just click on the set you are practicing and print the sheet off. You  can also look at the Birds vs Robots game if you would prefer, I know how much you all enjoy that!

In topic today we will be making super paper planes and rockets to complete a simple experiment. All you need is a straw, some paper and some tape.  You can colour them in brightly so they are fit for a superhero!  Watch the zoom clip first, then click on the link below it. I have left some paper straws and paper outside the front door of the school if you need to pick anything up, please help yourselves.

Today is our last day this week looking at the long vowel 'i'Watch the YouTube clips below, then have a look at the worksheets linked to this sound. After that you may want to play one of the fun phonics games I have added.
