Our daily outline of what your day will look like today:
Yesterday we looked our numbers zero to five. Today we are going to be comparing numbers to five.1. Starter: Complete the starter below to compare different quantities, encourage your child to use the language, more, less, and same to compare different amounts of snack or objects on the plates.
Today we will be looking at a reading comprehension. You can print the sheet below and complete the questions by reading the short sentence and adding to each picture.
Topic task: Royal workshop.
Your task today is to become a member of Royalty! Would you like to be a princess or prince? Well, you will need a crown then. You could make a crown, sword, shield, or jewellery that are fit for a fairy tale prince or princess. Using a good range of materials including paper and card, sliver foil, beads, ribbon, glitter, paint, sequins, gems, and buttons. Think about how you are going to make your design collect your art crafts and let’s get started!
Watch the video below and check out my princess crown.
As part of our EYFS Curriculum the children would access a range of choosing activities and learn together and individually through play. I have set some options for you to choose from below. These do not all need to be completed and can be more independent for your child to complete and play maybe even alongside a sibling.
1. Art challenge task: For the next 30 days, you could complete the art challenge below. Please do not worry if your picture is not exactly 5cm x 5cm as long as it’s a small piece of paper so that at the end your drawings can all be put together to create your very own 30-day art collage. I can’t wait all those amazing drawings!
2. Construction, small world task: Create a small world fairy tale forest scene. You could include fairy tale figures, make a castle, print the forest background or make your own picture and use your toys for imaginative play. Can you tell a story with your characters? What might be happening in your story? Who will be the ‘goodies and baddies’?
