Good morning everyone. You will find below the home learning for the day ahead. Once again, a massive thank you for all your support in these challenging times. It has been lovely to see all the hard work the children are doing, they really are working so hard.

As a warm up have a go at the game below, you have played it before, so Year 1 children can look at a subtraction game, and Year 2 children have a look at division facts for the 5 times tables.
For the main maths task, Year 1 will be looking at related number facts. Watch the 'related facts' clip below then try the worksheet. Year 2 will be looking at dividing by 5. Have alook at the clip, 'Divide by 5', then have a go at the worksheet.

To carry on practicing times tables, have a go at the game below. You can choose to play with 10, 5 or 2 times tables. If you are already confident with all of these, do feel free to try another set.
Today our reading task looks at retrieving information from a text. You can watch the zoom clip below to listen to me read the book, which is a non-fiction, factual book, about how one class adopted a tiger. You will then answer some questions about the text. If you would like to read the book yourself, you can go to the Oxford Owl website, and use the class log-in I showed you during registration. The user name for our class is sedleys12 and the password is Lockdown. Once you have logged in, go to Oxford Owl E-book library and type 'tiger' into the search box. The book is called 'Our Class Tiger'.

Your topic lesson for today is to make a fact file about yourself. Write simple facts about yourselves including name age and where you live. Think about who your heroes are, then add sentences about why you are so super, and your achievements. You can do this on your own paper or print out the template, as tomorrow you will be using your computer to make a fact file. Watch the zoom clip below for more information, and to see an example.
In our GPS lesson today, there are two tasks foe each year group. Year 1 children will be looking at using capital letters and full stops correctly. Have a look at the games below. Year 2 children will be identifying different sentence types. There is a fun song to listen to, and a power point video to watch. There is also a worksheet to complete.
