Choosing activities:

As part of our EYFS Curriculum the children would access a range of choosing activities and learn together and individually through play. I have set some options for you to choose from below. These do not all need to be completed and can be more independent for your child to complete and play maybe even alongside a sibling.

  1. Outdoor: Make a ‘Hansel and Gretel trail’ using small pieces of bread, cubes or beads around the garden or inside the house. Lead the trial around the setting, up and down stairs, over, under, around and through. While they are completing the course, ask questions such as ‘where do you think the trial is going to lead us? How did you get past that object?’

  1. Water activity: Help Cinderella get ready for the ball. Provide a doll or plastic person figure, bathtub or large bowl of warm water, straws and bubble bath. After washing Cinderella, you can dry her off and dress her for the ball. Don’t forget to hang the wet towels up to dry!
