Good morning Oaks!
This week is Children's Mental Health Awareness Week.
Mental Health and well-being is of course important all year round.
Click on the rainbow link on the Oaks home learning page and you will find
information and activities you can try out.
Your learning for today:
Complete the mini assessment on Decimals and Percentages. Remember - just try your best.
Once you have finished you can mark your answers.
L.O. To use division to solve problems
Watch my video below. You will need a pencil and paper as there are a few questions to have a go at while you are watching. Complete the worksheet and then check your work using the answers provided.
L.O. To select the most appropriate materials and frameworks for different structures
Use junk modelling materials/clay/papier mache etc. to construct an igloo. Find ways to join the materials sturdily enough to support an entrance doorway. If possible, take step-by-step photos of the process to reflect upon. Remember to send me a photo of your finished igloo!
L.O. To retrieve information, infer, summarise and develop vocabulary skills
Read the newspaper article 'North Pole Time Capsule Found' and answer the questions that follow.
Once you have finished, check your answers.
GPS - Spelling test
Complete your spelling test using the video below. Watch out - the words are mixed up this week!
You may pause or replay the video if you need to. Mark your work using the answers provided below.
L.O. To be aware of my feelings and my mental health
Watch the video. You will need to pause it often as it moves through the slides quickly!
Design and create a poster to tell others all about the things they can do to help their mind be healthy.
You could draw your poster by hand or do it on the computer.
