Topic Lesson
Learning objective: plan your own sweet food recipe
This week for topic we are focusing on sweet food recipes! Today, we will explore the features of recipes (text and language) first and then your task will be to plan your very own sweet food recipe. Please first of all go through the video/PowerPoint below which explains the features of recipes and today's task in more detail. Once you have done, there is a further explanation of the task for this lesson underneath the video/PowerPoint.
Task
Today's topic task involves three steps. Please work through all of the three steps below.
Step 1-research different sweet food recipes
Step 2-write down some notes of the features used in recipes such as the text features like a subheading for ‘equipment’ and the language features (nouns, imperative verbs, adverbs for time, adverbial phrases)
Step 3- plan a recipe for a sweet food you would like to make (for example, a chocolate cake, Victoria sponge, cookies).

RE Lesson
Learning objective: What do Humanists value?
Today's RE lesson focuses on what do humanists value. Your task is to read the quotes on the worksheet below and then write down all the things important to humanists.
Maths lesson

Times Tables
This week, the children will be revising some multiplication and division facts previously taught. The purpose of this is to consolidate their prior learning and for them to answer a set of calculations in a mixed order. Please see below the times tables each year group will focus on and some resources to practice them.
