Our school motto - Love to Learn - Learn to Love
Proverbs 22:6 - “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”
VISION
Our core vision is to enable every child to achieve their full potential; to flourish through the provision of the
best education; academically, morally, socially and spiritually; and by living out our faith in God.
At Sedley’s CEP School, children will develop a thirst for learning that will start them on a journey as a lifelong learner.
We believe that education should take place in a fully inclusive environment with equal opportunities for all.
All differences will be celebrated and at Sedley’s everyone is valued.
Our school strives to be at the centre of the local community with positive and effective links to the wider and
global communities.
As a result, our children will achieve consistently high levels of progress and be equipped for the
challenges, opportunities and responsibilities of 21st century British adult life.
VALUES
The values associated with our vision for fullness of life and loving to learn are
· Love
· Faith in God
· Forgiveness
· Sharing and Caring
· Honesty
Our whole school community embodies these values, and they are supported, reinforced and embedded
through house points, head teacher awards, referenced in collective worship and used in every day
conversations with children including when things go wrong.
ETHOS
We will have a love of learning throughout our whole school, in our staff and in our children. Children will
enjoy a rich, stimulating and diverse education that will leave them with a love of learning that will last for life.
Every child will flourish and thrive to ensure they achieve their full potential every day.
All children feel included, welcome, happy, safe and valued at Sedley’s.
Sedley's Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School was founded in 1637 by Sir John Sedley.
We are extremely proud of the school we belong to and are committed to the work of offering the best possible education to the children within.
We welcome the supportive feedback of our parents and carers and will respond at the first opportunity.
Our guiding principle is to put the children at the heart of all that we do to ensure they enjoy a wealth of opportunities and flourish in all that they do.
